25 week old buff not laying

Her comb is not very developed yet. Looks more like a pea comb than a single. But its getting there. Her waddle is pretty good, but it has me worried. I also have (3) gold sex links and she doesnt compete with them so. I'm worried she's not getting enough nutrients...... ANY ADVISE???

Yep. Ours didn't start laying until they were about 29 weeks old.

my buffs are around the same age and i think only one is laying. I got 4 more waiting to start.

I have 11 buff girls that are 23 weeks and just one started laying 4 days ago. I am hoping that the rest follow along soon!

One of my three 23 week old just layed her first yesterday. The other two are at the same place as yours with comb/waddle.

Be patient, it will be worth it.

Sorry to hear......... hope you get eggs soon. Our 25 Buffs are doing great, theres acouple still not laying I guess... we usually get 20ish give or take a day now. (we have 3 RIRs and 2 bantams laying too) Our Buffs started laying around 21 weeks and have been getting better every week. Good Luck!

THANKS EVERYONE.... for all your input.. I have noticed that my other girls (squat) when you approach them. And to me that says that they are laying..... which they are !!!!!!!!! But our Buff is still a little skittish and is a late bloomer
