25 weeks today Black Australorps still not laying?

Many young hens wait until early spring to lay their first egg.

If you choose for supplemental light, take into account that It takes about 6 weeks to lay eggs , after you give supplemental light (info from other BYC members) .

If you choose a more natural and healthier life for you're chickens just wait until early spring. Making eggs in winter cost a lot of energy (+ proteins, minerals and vitamins) and chickens who lay all year round are finished earlier. The total number of eggs a hen lays in her life will be the same.

Okay no worries I love them just the same I just wanted to make sure they were all good , like even though they are not laying I'm cool with that, I just basically wanted to make sure I haven't done anything lol but if it's normal and they are good , then I'm gravy and love them eggs or not! Thank you for the information...

Took mine 32 weeks to start laying, squatted for about 2 weeks before, like I would just walk up to them and they were already squatting type squat, should be soon good luck, the anticipation is the worst but once they lay its well worth the wait!!

Hey y'all!!! And thanks so much! Got my first egg this Saturday and got my second 1 today just 1 of them laying, another 1 is right behind her having a flocking good day
