I left my first three inside for.. wait for it… 12 weeks. They lived in my sunroom in a giant dog crate but free ranged during the day. I still miss them and even though I’m pretty confident in their coop, worry about them. They still think they are house chickens and frequently follow me inside with the dogs if they are loose.Easy to do with helpless balls of fluff. I have five that are 4 weeks old that I hatched for the first time. I can't seem to find the heart to put them outside, lol. I keep blaming it on the weather, but really they're just too damn cute.
Lucky mine haven't figured out how our stairs work yet. It isn't a straight shot to the door, but they do try to fly up to the landing (our house is raised). I'm waiting for the day they tagalong behind the dogs in through the dog door. Lol.I left my first three inside for.. wait for it… 12 weeks.
