26 weeks and still no egg

We are going on week 22, and it's SO HARD!!! I love my girls, so I just try to think of this as still their "baby time." Any time now girls.....

I have been adding light for over a month and they are still getting 15.5 at least a day. I think it's the flooding, weather change, adding new birds to the flock and the new feed. The only thing is a lot of us bought this feed and we all traded and moved some birds around and of course the flooding and weather was all over the area around here. We all traded some birds so if anything happened to one of us the others could get them back on their feet without losing to much like bad weather, coyoties or whatever. the animal problem has not hit us as far as the canine problem goes but we all have hawks and just last week I had a bald eagle fly over my area. I just watched him in his glory.

so many chickens not laying, i have 4 26 month olds and im STILL waiting for an egg, is there a chicken strike going on or something?????? what are there demands??????

I have 3 chickens from this spring, one is laying (started about a week ago, gives an egg almost every day), I am still waiting for the other two. I have been told that it is very common for (later) spring chickens not to start laying until next spring. They go into a molt in fall instead. I did indeed have a coop full of feathers about a month ago, but I guess one of mine decided it was time to grow up. I did not provide extra light.

start looking for nests in the tall grass, briers, bush, if they free range. my grand sons just found 2 nests 18 eggs in one and 20 in another they were rather small so I am sure they were the new layers. the older birds and my 2 leghorns lay in the nest box in the coop. I have the day off so I will be watching to make sure they all find their way to the nest box from now on

I don't add any light, they've been on layer pellets since they were 18. My Buff Orp lays an egg almost every day since she as 24 and these two aren't much younger than her, only a couple of weeks behind her. It's funny because I also have a polish that I don't really care if she lays or not I just like her for her looks. :)
I'm sure one day I could walk out there and have lots of eggs, I sometimes get myself thinking that maybe my BO is laying every other day and that my GLW is laying the other days, but there isn't really a way of knowing...
