I'm not stressing out about it. I'm a patient sort.
But I have to admit I laugh a little at the people with 16 week old chickens and wondering when they're going to lay and hope they don't have the wait that I've had. Chickens have definitely been known to lay that early, but not at my house.
Anyway, I have a blue laced red wyandotte hen who is 26 weeks old today and she hasn't laid yet. She's also the biggest of my hens. She seems to be focusing her attention on getting big and pretty, rather than laying.
