Hopefully this is allowed, but just wanting to do a thread tracking the raising of 29 Aylesbury Ducklings from babies right up to eating and selecting those I want to breed in the future.

Background;

Ive always been fascinated with poultry, a passion I got from my Granda as he kept all kinds of poultry and raised and ate his own too.

With University and work I never had time to keep them properly, I dd have a quad of genuine La Bresse. I live in Ireland, and these were "acquired" by some means from a lorry driver who was in France and brought back and sold on. I loved having them but work meant I had to move away and sadly so did the chickens and chicks before I could eat them.

Fast forward and I am now back in the family business, a Butchery! So unintentionally I now have 29 pure bred Aylesbury ducklings after trading some knowledge and preparing a lamb for the guy I got them off. However this was no ordinary farm, he has over 1000 Aylesbury ducks that he supplies high end restaurants, compared to the standard large commercial farms here (which there are only a couple, one of which is very close to me). He also has 600 breeding Geese for meat, a Legarth (Roman x Emden). Full of info and in the business over 30 years so he was invaluable for some info on feeding etc. I also know how to sex them, and I have ringed my 5 drakes and 24 girls!

But anyway, I want to track the next 7 weeks at least until they are big enough to eat or keep for breeders. Below is a short video I done (I got an Akaso EK7000 for Xmas - so this is my first edited video and learning as I go) If anyone can recommend a good site for some free music to dub over that'd be great as Im not sure you could all understand my accent ha!

Edit - What is the max file size for an mp4 on this site?

Here it is everybody! Enjoy the video, my first time editing a video so it was some good practice and a bit of fun. Ill try and keep these regular if I can!

Thanks VP, looking forward to getting back into this forum again. I used to follow and message a user who had a big thread in the meat section but none of the messages or alerts exist now. Do you reckon it's because he maybe quit or my inactivity for so long?
