29 Weeks and still no eggs!!!!!???!!!???

Hi I have 3 RIR that are 29 weeks and 5 Ameraucana 30 weeks and none of them are laying. All have a bright red comb and the RIR have almost adult hen size combs when should I expect brown and blue eggs!???!!???!!??

Are they eating lay feed or pullet developer?

Yes they are eating the Omega 3 Purina layer feed pellets

patience my friend, i have the same issue but our blue maran at 32 weeks just laid an egg for the first time. RIR still hasn't. and out buff orpington also about 30 weeks doesnt even have a crown yet

I also have a RIR 29 weeks that hasn’t started laying. And I’m shocked as I thought they were relatively early layers. Nature is so frustrating. With the days getting shorter I’m afraid she may not lay until spring...

How long have they been on layer feed?
The lower protein and excess calcium can thwart development a bit,
plus it's the dark season....I'm waiting on pullets too, tho only 24wo.

They have been on it since they were 19 weeks so about2-3 months
