I am looking for a hen or two any color but those blue silkies chicks sound very tempting. What is there hatch date.

I'd have to check, I have hatches pretty much every day through the end of the month. I'm not sure how many silkie eggs are in there though.

So I'm hoping there will be more than just Cindy, Judy, Eric, and I here this time, but if not I guess we'll just have lots of food to eat and chit-chatting to do

I received some hen saddle/aprons from emvickrey yesterday to use as prizes/raffle items. emvickrey is unable to attend but she sent these to help out. They look like bantam-sized, I don't think they'd fit LF but I'll have to ask her to make sure. She also sent a few quail-sized ones which are uber-cute! One that looks like it would fit a Serama or OEGB too

ETA: Looks like she said they are LF aprons/saddles, I've never seen one myself and they looked kinda small. Hope I win, my BCM hens are all bare-backed. Too bad they don't make rooster collars to keep the hens from pecking all their feathers off

I will provide the charcoal for the grill, any volunteers for the cook? I've never grilled in my life so I'd probably mess it up

Haven't decided on games yet, but there have been several good ideas. One I'd like to do (if it's not too geeky) is a spelling bee/test. There are several chicken breed names that are difficult to spell. You might want to study

Okay, the date is approaching fast! Only 11 days left to go! I need a role-call of anyone who is or might be coming if you all don't mind...it would be nice to have an idea of how many will be here

We were going to come after an appointment at Shriner's in Lexington, but we are switching to the Greenville, SC hospital now.

Once again, I have no idea of knowing how many will be attending, so looks like we'll have another BYOF (bring your own food) event. This way we won't be short or over when it comes time for dinner. Hot dogs/burgers/meat of some sort for the people you are bringing and a dish (salad/desert/etc) to share. We will have a grill and will most likely mix everything together with 1 cook like last time, but I just want to be sure that we don't run out of food.

@ Cindy: If it ends up being just you and me we can always make it a day at the lake.
