2nd duckling not right

Oh, the person you got the eggs from probably wouldn't know. If you read the linked article it states that adult ducks can carry it without much problem, and it only effects one egg in what was it... 300 or so?

Of course it's also possible that it's something totally different.

That is why I am not sure I should tell the seller about it or not...
Jan went into town today and we are going to try high dosages of Folic Acid.
I am pretty sure other then through eggs/palcanta (people) this cant be passed on. I will do a bit more research to be sure but I am pretty sure other then the cats other critters are a dead end host.

I have 9 days to decide. Nothing new due until then.
Thanks for all the information.

The little one will either get lots better or not make it in the next 24 hours I think.

Well, the vets' receptionist was as rude to my 70 year old friend as she has been anytime I talked to her. Would not even bother listing to her about what we might need for the ducks. (I received the same treatment when I had a emergency with my horse, she was busy and no way was she going to have someone out or let me bring the horse in)

Porr Jan was so worried she picked up a folic acid supplement and I was treating with that. Things were looking better for the problem duck. Then wile we were gone to help with 4-H at the re-enactment, part of the paper towel ended up in the waterer. So both ducklings ended up wet and cold.....and dead.....

As upset as Jan was who was "watching" them I did not have the heart to tell her she should have move the paper towel. 4/5ths of the floor was sopping wet.
