2nd pea egg hatch attempt

I could hear chick pecking to get out but turned out he was upside down in shell....
He did break thru but died right afterwards...(only his beak broke thru) wonder if he 'drowned' or what?? Am I doing something wrong. ???
First egg didn't absorb his yolk stuff and of course didn't hatch now this....

Don't beat yourself up. It's a difficult year for hatching Peas, I had 8 go in the hatcher on Monday and I got 5 chicks out of them. Only 1 hatched himself, I had to assist the other 4. If you haven't read the article on assisted hatching on this forum, you may want to. Then if this happens again you can be ready to assist. Us Pea people tend to assist rather than let nature take it's course.
