Baby duckling is upside down in the egg, yet broke the shell

Hello,
I have been incubating eggs and this egg is weird. At first I didn't understand what's happening but then I realised the air bubble was still not opened, yet I can hear the duck whistling.

I went to the university then returned, and I found that the duck still didn't open the shell but I can still hear the sound. Then I realised he opened the other side of the shell which means his head is down.

After that I tried helping him to widen the hole but I stopped because I saw blood. I don't know how will it open the shell anyways if it will bleed, and wether I should help it or not since it already broke the outer shell.

Here is a picture of the egg:

Cornstarch (or you can look up alternatives) to staunch the flow of blood. This means the veins haven't receded/dried out.

With your nail, or even tweezers, you can pick the egg yolk away from the white membrane. The veins are inside the membrane and the eggshell should be very dried out and thin by now. Duck eggs can be a little hard because they're thicker in general but it is still feasible.

Anyway, pick a line across the top of the egg, not to take the narrow normally "top" part of the egg fully off, but just so that the ducklings can keep pushing and break through eventually.

The sad part about ducklings is they can zip, but still have their nostrils in the egg goop and drown :( hopefully your's got rid of most of its goop during the maturation process.

But if it gets to the point, say tomorrow, where you can see the nostrils are still under the membrane, I would gently peel back the membrane and possibly lean the egg so that goop can come out of the hole.

But it's really important to check the nostrils and swab with damp qtip. The goop crystalizes quickly in the air and can smother them, blocking air holes and the like.

If the ducklings gets it's head free, same deal with gently keeping their eyes cleaned.

But I also have really horrible luck with incubating eggs so hopefully someone more knowledgeable chimes in.

If the feet don't get the right engagement they need leaving the egg, you can look up cup or sock therapy for chicks/duckling legs.
