2nd time 'round

Hi Ladies and Gents, Joined this group several years ago, but did not maintain after I lost most of my small flock to raccoons and re-homed the last hen. Started over with eight chicks spring of 2022. Down to 6 now, but no raccoons thankfully. I appreciate being able to tap into the wisdom of the veteran chickeneers here.

Glad to have you back! So sorry for your loss.
Peppermint or mint seems to be a good deterrent for coons and many other rodents. Perhaps if you spray around the coop every so often will help some. It seems to help one of our friends with them as they lost a few hens to coons recently.
