I have eight 5-week-old chicks and just got two more 2-week-old chicks. I have them in the same brooder separated by wall presently. I did introduce them to each other and it went really well but I worry that the size difference puts the little ones at risk of being stepped on or pushed out of getting food and water by the bigger girls.
The littles are so desperate to hang out with their big sisters though and keep jumping the wall to try and sneak into the big girls’ side.
Should in continue to keep them separated or is it okay to integrate them?
