I think it is ok. I bought chicks at $2.50 or $3 and sold some at 8 weeks old for $4.

I agree, I would buy the breed I am looking for at 3$ each.. I purchased 4 week old true Ameraucana chicks and kept them for 12 weeks. I picked out the ones I wanted and sold all the others for 12$ each.. Worked out great--got to bond w/ them, see their personalities and pick the ones I like the best.. Others who purchased from me liked that they were friendly and nice...

depends on the breed pullets usually go for 6-8 dollars (here) when they are grown and laying
I would buy 1 month old chickens for 3 dollars not bad
