$3.00 pullets

I found a guy who is selling some pullets for $3.00 each. They are 1 month old. Is that too high for 1 month old pullets? He has RIR and White Leghorns. I want to get 20 of them but I know that I shouldn't. I already have enough chickens but I got excited when I saw the price.

Would you buy 1 month old pullets for $3.00?

Sounds like a very good price to me. I would be a little cautious to make sure they appear to be healthy. Look at the conditions where is is raising them. I also would look them over carefully to see that none have rooster characteristics. I know it is a little young to know for sure. I had a white leghorn this last spring that was already showing a comb by 4 weeks and of course it turned out to be a rooster.

I just took down an advertisement I had where I tried to sell some 6 week old pullets for 2.00 in my area because nobody wanted them! I can't GIVE away chicks in my area right now... grrr...
