3-5 day old chick with severed toe hanging on by tendon or ligament....

I have a chick with a severed toe that is hanging on by a tendon or ligament. It's not bleeding, the tip that came off is black and the very end of the attached toe is black. Do I leave it to fall off on it's own or snip it off and bandage the area?

I would definitely suggest clipping it off and applying Neosporin to it. No need to bandage; it will come off anyways.
