Lovely pullets, all of them! :love

Starting around 12 weeks you can start to see pointy saddle feathers in cockerels and by 16 weeks they're often this obvious..

Also, you comb and wattle COLOR and sizes are indicative of pullets since males plump and redden much sooner than the ladies.

ETA: these feathers don't look as rough as the Brahma I was looking out for on the other thread, maybe she's just bottom of the pecking order??

Best picture ever for saddle feathers!!! I think I should focus on saddle instead of hackle. The Hackles looked so pointed in my babies. Thanks millions!
