3 birds, 2 chickens and a duck, I need help

Ok I had someone come and look at my birds. The results are interesting. Ron does not have Marek's or anemia, according to the vet Ron has a hormone imbalance that causes him to grow fast and produce waaaay more muscle than he needs. As a result of the fast growing his joints have become deformed, she examined him more closely than I did and found that his wing joints and other joints are also deformed. She said that this could have been the result of a stroke but also said he could have gotten a disease that damaged his brain, either one could have caused him to have poor coordination and hormone imbalances. She said that if he had anemia or Marek's it would not explain his extreme strength or joint growths, also he shows no signs of paralysis. She said if he had anemia then he should be weaker, not stronger, same goes for Marek's. Also, she said usually chickens should not be able to live this long with Marek's, he is not vaccinated, and if it was Marek's he would have started to spread it to the rest of the flock by now. She gave several other reasons to her diagnoses but these were the main points.

The vet also tested the birds for mites and other parasites. She said that a few of the chickens have scaly leg mites and 2 of them have bumblefoot. For the leghorn hen, she said that she might have some sort of infection or disease or she could just be deformed. She took a poop sample from the hen and the other birds and is taking it in to be examined. And for the drake she said pretty much the same stuff you guys did.

So glad you were able to have someone out to help you! This is a great example of why we can only take "best guesses" on an internet forum based on the information and photos presented... without being able to really examine the bird, and without veterinary knowledge, we can only do so much. I'm so happy you got some answers!!
