she’s a d’uccle. no other symptoms, she’s pooping normally (although i think less often than the others) and acts alert after i have her nap on me, looking around, pecking, chirping for the others, kicking when picked up, etc. it’s just that when she’s tired she’s /really/ tired, basically going limp and letting the others walk all over her, and she sleeps a lot more than the others. only one acting like this. they get medicated food btw. the store isn’t open right now, so no electrolytes, is there anything else i can do? should i even be worried, or is she just weird? thanks :)

Is this a chick you hatched or bought at a feed store? Does the chick seem to not want to leave the zone under the heat source?

You can try syringing warm sugar water into its beak.

i ordered her from cackle. she was going the same places as the others, but she did feel cold when i held her compared to other chicks of the same breed. unfortunately she passed away as well as two of my faverolles. it’s a normal brooder setup, and the others all seem fine, so i don’t really know whats wrong. they were all quite active and happy upon arrival, and they’re all eating and drinking. i’ve started to worry it may be avian flu because the lethargy was sudden for all three and she started gasping.
