Has this happened to anyone else? I have one chick that had trouble when he hatched (couldn't stand, wing stuck to head), he's fine now, but I saw him a few minutes ago standing on the rice-sock and trying to crow!

Nothing came out, but his technique is good, I guess. The pose was dead on.... Has this happened to anyone else?

At least I know have a boy-model to go on for guessing the sexes of my BR's by how much frosting they have.....

I have had a two or three day old tom strut! But never a chick try and crow that has to be the cutest sound ever! That Tom grew up to be the alpha between the two boys but still just a sweetie

It might just be an extra hardcore AK thing

I believe speckledhen had a cockerel crow at a really absurd young age. I can't remember how young though. Poor little boogers born with an overload of testosterone.

Agree. If it had trouble hatching I would make sure it is not having some sort of distress. Three days seems a bit early to be doing anything but chirping.

gonzo&hispeeps :

I've heard of it! Speckled Hen has had one do that before.

Yeah and if I remember correctly he was trying to mate his own mama at a few weeks old. I'm telling you, testosterone poisoning.
