3 day old chicks, & horse bedding fromTSC ?

I use the horse bedding that TSC sells in my coop for the hens. Can I use this same stuff in my brooder for the chicks? They are only 3 days old. Only reason I'm asking is there is alot of small saw dust like stuff in it, as well as the chips.

don't know if it's the same, but i have my chicks on pine pellets since day 3--no problem. hope this helps--or that someone else can!!

I don't know if it's exactly the same, but the pine shavings we buy are intended for horse bedding. It seems to be a variety of sizes of pieces, with a little sawdust but not a ton.
