3 day old eggs

my bantam went broody and I have some 3 day old eggs that have been on my kitchen counter are they still hatchable

yes.. Eggs can be 2 weeks and succesful.

I had shipped eggs take 5 days to reach me. not sure how many days they were collected before the shipped. of 12 that passed 7 days we just hatched 9. so My guess were they were 8 days or better when shipped. So with your own eggs at 3 days - 5 days or even 10. your hatch rate should be great.

Your hatch rate 9 out of 12 for shipped eggs is actually quite good. I have read enough horror stories of shipped eggs. You have to consider the road rage they go thru.. They can get more "SHOOK UP" than Elvis Presley.

Well we started day 1 with 32 eggs. at day 7 we threw out a lot of scrambled eggs. So only 12 made it pass 7 days. And at day 18 we still had the 12 eggs. that is the whole story. 9 hatched of the 12.

Three day old eggs are perfectly fine for hatching. I have successfully hatched eggs beyond two weeks old and have also been able to hatch fertile eggs from the refrigerator case at Trader Joe's. I'll give just about anything a try in the incubator.
