3 day old with curled toes. -- How long in the "hospital" ???

My 3 day old has both feet with curled toes. I make a splint/mitten for the feet. However, the mitten is to slick for the chick to walk. So I put the chick in the "cardboard hospital" with a lot of paper towels to keep him/her upright.

How long should the splint/mitten stay on????

I have a chickie with curled toes, . it was cause by her trying to get out of the shell . I was unable to help her toes, but she is fine and walking funny. she can jump in her nest and lay an egg.
