Hens go broody when you don’t want them to… and won’t go broody when you do. 
I have a Porcelain d'Uccle hen who is determinedly laying eggs. I thought I might offer some to anyone who wants some of these friendly birds. She is penned with a Porcelain Roo who is dominant and a gold-necked Roo. These are really nice birds, and the hen has an outstanding friendly outgoing personality. She likes people, being handled and eats out of hand, and I never played with her. These guys would be great for kids. I have some of her eggs in the bator - 100% embryos on day 7!
