Good morning everyone!

My Peking (Betty) has been laying her eggs since Oct 31, and my Cayuga (Lillian) started laying them Nov. 25. This morning I had 3 eggs, I clean out their coop every morning, rake the 💩 out. And I left the nest 🪹 🪺 they made but I inspected the entire coop because I know eggs can be hide. But I think Betty laid 2 eggs this morning!?!? Anyone heard of this?

Yes, I had a Pekin who laid two eggs a day for an entire year. Then she stopped, and I had to rehome her (not because she stopped laying eggs) so I don’t know if she ever started laying again.

Hi.

Maybe the egg was actually laid yesterday (or another day), and was just very, very well hidden...?
(Happens sometimes!)

Or do you have a third duck that could have laid this egg?
(Some young ducks start laying very late in the year - especially when temperatures are still warm enough...!)

And the eggs were fully whole?
...So... that's possible?!

I hope none of my other duck laid an egg because they are drakes 😂😂😂. I’m actually surprised that they are laying because it’s been in the freezing temps and the days are so short and they are still laying… but it’s possible to that Betty could have hide an egg because she didn’t lay yesterday.
