I set 35 eggs to hatch Feb 15th in my Hova-Bator with a turner. They are all barnyard mixes, mostly bantam, 12 or so are standard eggs. I candled earlier & most have healthy veining

& a few I cant tell yet. Anyone else care to join in the hatching madness )

???

I'm with you. I set 8 under a broodie. Tonight there are 7 left. One EE egg ended up cracked.
My broodie is retarded. I'll probably get zero chicks.

What are you guys hatching? I have a Rhode Island Red rooster who has been mating with my Silver Laced Wyandotte's an awful lot. They're all about 10 months old. I have a slightly staggered hatch. I put in the first eggs and then 24 hours later added two more. There are 9 in total

I candled last night & most look good with nice veining but 7 or so, most are my standard eggs, dont have anything so im wondering ifn my roos have been slacking in that pen xD. I also have one blood ring and it looks like the egg cracked & I didnt realize it xP

I'm in I set mine on my B-day 1/25. That was according to the farmers almanac best days to set eggs by the moon. I have 5 freedom ranger/FBCM, 5 faverolles, and 3 EE /splash marans. I'm not candling I am leaving them alone. I have bad luck when I go messing with them. I am having an issue with humidity but I think it will be alright a hen will live nest and humidity drops, right. The lowest its gone is 16 % usually thats how it is when I come home from work. I'm all over the board with it all the way to 59 %. These are my own eggs and should be alright I usually have a 95% hatch rate with my own. Good Luck to every one. Michele
Yeah more snow and an added surprise ice gota love the weather

Ours are set to hatch Valentine's Day, so we're right along with you. We have 12 eggs in the bator... 5 sebrights, 2 EEs, and 5 "mystery eggs"--brown eggs from a variety of hens that includes a BO, a BR, a black sexlink, couple of others I cannot think of right now, visited by a couple of various roosters, one of whom is a big, gorgeous EE who is pretty much King Of The Yard where he lives. This is our first real hatch. We had 4 Trader Joe eggs in there, but we candled them over the last couple of days & they were all clear so over the fence they went! Everything else is showing good development so far. We're not going to candle again until lockdown day, which should be midnight on the 11th.

We are really excited about this. Our incubator has been amazingly consistent/steady with temps and humidity, knock on wood!

Everyone talks about trader joes is this a grocery store? Did u know that Walmarts cage free eggs are also fertile, I noticed this when my hens weren't laying and had to by some. I won't hatch them due to I have no Idea what kind of chicken it is.

I candled last night and I found veins on all but 2 our of my 9. This afternoon I did it again and found veins on all but 1

I'm pretty happy with that! I actually was worried they weren't going to be viable because they sat about a week but I guess they must be fine if there are veins in them now!
