I think I need to change my name to Dr. Dolittle!!!

About 9 months ago I was driving and saw a turtle trying to cross the road... In the middle of nowhere. We kept him.

About 6 months ago I was driving and saw a baby chick in the middle of the road... I kept him as my first chicken.

2 weeks ago I had a dream I should go to the humane society. I did and adopted a hen for $2. They NEVER have chickens.

Last night I was coming home from a club at 12:30 in the morning. Stuck behind 3 cars, and my friend was driving behind me. Saw the car in front of me swerve away from something fuzzy in the middle of the road. I swerved after identifying them as 3 BABY KITTENS! watching in my rearview I didn't see my friend swerve. I said out loud to my 2 girlfriends in the car "Oh @$%#, there are 3 kittens in the middle of the road", flipped a U, and turned on my high-beams to find them. We found them (alive) as we watched another group on oncoming traffic QUICKLY approaching. My friend jumped out of the car before it could stop and snatched 3 kittens!

We stayed up most of the night trying to feed, bathe, and clean the junk out of their eyes... which were mostly stuck closed. They could barely move.

This morning they were nursed back to health, clean, and flea-free with FULL bellies (still they had NO meat on their bones, but will soon!) and ready to play!

Took them to the humane society and guess what they said!?!?

They were TOO YOUNG and if i surrendered them, they'd kill them!

So, looks like I have some kittens!!!

I think I need to choose a different career pathway... Animals kind of come to me.

Will post pics tomorrow! My family has already taken a liking to them! I was only supposed to keep them for 4 weeks was the plan until they were older and healthy but now I don't know!

I think it's true... animals know when they've been saved! They look at me with big eyes and just stare

It's the best feeling in the WORLD! Everyone should save something.

I feel just like this right now. It seems I have a cat radar going. I was out on a trail ride and the horses practically stepped on a baby kitty. I got down off my horse and she didn't move when I went to pick her up. She was so sick and skin and bones. She rode all the way back to the barn on my horse with me. That was three weeks ago. She still sneezes a little, but she is the sweetest thing and getting healthier everyday. She loves to chase the 7 week old chicks in the backyard just for fun. I always watch them and I figure everyone's getting some exercise.

Then on Saturday I found a feral momma cat and her two babies living in my hay. I caught one of the babies and she's sitting right here with me, mostly tame. Little white fluffy thing with big blue eyes. I left food out for the other two.

Then yesterday I trapped a feral 3 legged cat at work and took him in to get fixed and today I released him back where he was caught, and there are at least three more where he came from.

My parents have forbidden me from bringing any more animals home. My mom yells at me when she sees me walking up with a new kitty, and then she yells at me for not putting out enough food and for not making the bed soft enough.

I think she gets just as attached to them as I do.

I love having all the animals around and it makes me feel good about myself as a person when I help little critters.

I just wanted to make sure your little kitties were using the bathroom on their own. IF they were too young to be away from momma they may need help relieving themselves. You mentioned them having fat full bellies and it made me think of a find my friend brought me a few years back. She found a kitten on the side of the road on her way to camp and decided I needed it. Well....I was bottle feeding it at camp (she was nice enough to stop and bring the necessary supplies) it kept getting bigger and bigger, till one friend took the kitty and stimulated it and WAALAAA...bloated belly went bye bye. Of course overnight the kitten crawled onto my arm and peed and pooped all over me and my bed

Good Luck with the babies!
