 Do you know what happened?He didn't make it to the vet. I'm sure it's for the best but bummed anyway. I always love an underdog.
i would have suggested getting it cleanly amputated when he/she is older and can handle anestisia better. did she use the limb?

I'm sorry, but it's probably for the best. Almost certainly, there were 2 embryos and the second one was incompletely absorbed by the one who hatched. Absorption of twins is a real thing, it happens in humans too. In this case, the incomplete absorption probably meant there was a lot more internally going on as well.
Oh okay. Poor baby. Don't get down on yourself too badly. These things happen and sometimes there's nothing we can do. Sending hugs!When I checked on the group in the morning he seemed a little slow and I noticed he was getting pecked at by 2 others. I took him out and brought him in the house with me. He sat in my hand most of the day and acted fine. When my husband got home I put him in his little box. Not ten minutes later I found him stuck in his tiny water dish and he wasn't moving. I dried him and warmed him up but he died a few hours later.
I felt so guilty!
