Was uploading pictures from camera to computer(485 pictures) this morning, so Just thought I would share a picture of our 3 feeder pigs.

yep. That's how our daughter named her pig. they had just watched Charolettes web the day before we got them as babies...

They are so cute!! We have 3 feeder pigs right now, all white. They are at about 135 lbs right now.

I'm excited because in two weeks we are going to get some Tamworth pigs to raise and breed. In about another month or so, we are going to get some Berkshires and Yorkshires, too.

I love my pigs!!

My piggie went to 'market' last week... My freezer if very full right now...and still waiting on the ham and bacon...

So far the sausage, pork burgers and brats have been excellent!

I don't want to mess with them in the cold Indiana winter, but next spring I will have another.

Please schedule your butchering early. I waited until they were ready and then had to sweet talk the butcher into taking them. Had to wait a month, if I had more than 2 if would have been middle end of October.

Mine I got on 4/13 at 10lbs. One was 350 and other was 285 on 9/30....The white boy grew much faster than the red(duroc?) girl.
