That is a girl, but she looks a lot older then 3 months, more like 6 or more. I'll have to post a pic of my 3 month old Light Brahma boy so you can see the differance. I'll try and do that tonight.

Yes, judging from the saddles, and tail, specifically the tail coverts-it is a female. People see the beetle brow and assume its a male. The tail is not built exactly right. The standard says it should be "well spread at bottom, resembling an inverted "U" when viewed from behind." I must say, for a hatchery bird, it is very well colored. Its white where its supposed to be, and black where its supposed to be. The lacing on the coverts is a bit smutty, and there is shafting on the lower coverts-common defects of the columbian pattern. The big wide head with beetle brow is nice also. Impressive.

Are you sure she is only 3 months if she is indeed a girl like the expert says. She looks older then my 5 month old girl. Who happens to be feathered like a very bad feathered boy.

Yup I got her a day old from Cackle the first week of june. That's why I thought it wasn't a pullet because it was so much bigger than the others. And he/she is hatchery quality so maybe that's why he/she is so big.

Gosh, that would make HER only 2 and 1/2 months. Thats pretty quick development. Are they bantams? SHE does look older.
