I have 3 buff orpingtons, I'm positive that one is a hen and one is a rooster... but then I'm not sure about the other one. S/he grew much faster than the others and was the biggest for a long time. The comb isn't as big as the rooster's comb, but it is bigger than the hen's comb. And it is redder. Now s/he is looking as orange as the rooster... so I'm wondering. They are all the same age.

This one is a roo, I'm positive:

I was thinking so, too. It is just weird how they all developed differently. He's always seemed in between the other two (except the other rooster was always the tiniest, and he was always the biggest), but now the pullet doesn't seem as orange.

K, then it is a roo.

So out of my 8 chicks, I was supposed to have 7 pullets and 1 roo.

2 died. And out of the remaining chickens I ended up with 4 roos and 2 hens. Just my luck.

Silly lady said she could sex them.
