My new girls, aged 2-3 months, are always sleeping. I have to constantly coax them out of the coop and into the runs or outdoors. Is this normal behavior for their age? I would think they’d be more exploratory and curious but they’d rather be nestled all together in a corner of the coop.
Edit for addition: Once coaxed outside they will pretty much just nestle together again and dust bathe. Do I just have a lazy bunch of teenagers??

Are they alone in the coop/run or integrating with an existing flock? How long have you had them? Do they appear healthy? Are they eating/drinking/pooping as expected?

Just got them from a local reputable breeder about a week ago. All seem healthy and alert. They all came as one existing flock (I got 10 of about 30 living in a stable area).

So no other birds, just these 10 chicks?

We still need to know......

Pics of birds and your coop and run might help here.

Oh, and....Welcome to BYC! @SimplyShayely
Thanks for adding your location!
Thank you for the welcome!
Ok so they definitely are eating (a lot!), drinking (a lot!) and pooping (seriously a lot!)! And it’s just the 10 of them.
Again, they are just 2-3 months, but I have recently noticed some pecking order being established. That’s not a fun thing to watch. Big Mama can be quite the bully at this young age! I’ve attached some pictures and will get some of the coop and runs.

They look pretty good, might take the awhile to get more comfy with moving around the new place.

Probably adjusting. It looks a bit cool in your area (based on how their body posture)so that could play a part.My 3 month olds come shooting out the door and move around all day. They look older these birds however so I’m gonna assume these are at most 2 months, my birds are 3 months and don’t have any amount of fuzz.
