:celebrateI'm so eggcited to be a first time chicken mama! The babies come in from idealpoultry on Wednesday!! :wee​

I ordered:
2 Buff Orps
2 Ameracauna
2 Barred Rock
2 Welsumers

I've been steadily spending more and more time on BYC absorbing the knowledge of all you eggsperts, and collecting items for my brooder :)

So far I have a(n):
Actual brooder
MHP
Thermometer
Feeder and Vert. nip. Waterer
Pine bedding
Mass amounts of paper towels
Dumor 20% Starter/grower
Grit
A little roost for when their older
Lots of coffee (for me!)
Bad case of impatience :p

Any suggestions on what else my new
hatchlings might need their first week or two home?

Edit: Ignore the gallon waterer, thats for down the line, for their portable play pen

I got cute photoshoot items and the will to take enough to pictures to max out my phone storage :P
 
:woot Congrats~ Must be exciting for you! Sounds like you have and know everything you need. Good luck with your batch of chickies when they get here. Don't forget to post as many pictures of them as possible when they get here~
 
How did it go? I ordered 9 from Ideal and they should be here in the morning! How was your experience?
