I had 3 chicks to shrink wrap during my last hatch. What can I do to prevent it next time? Was my humidity just too low? It stay between 55-65% during the last days of hatch process. I'm about to start another hatch and I need to know what to do to correct the problem for next time. Thanks in advance!

Did you "sit on your hands" during the hatch? I've read that you must NOT open the bator! I'm sure that's hard to do.

I had 3 shrink wrapped on my first hatch too, 50-60% humidity. I just finished my second, and I had 15 0f 16 hatch out on their own with no sticky membrane at all. I upped the humidity to 65-75% this time. I think it depends a lot of different variables: shell thickness, incubator type, ambient humidity. maybe even altitude.....

People have so many different answers to this, it almost seems like personal trial and error is the only way. I wish I could be of more help.
