My sister bought some eggs to hatch with her 1st grade class. She ended up picking the lightest eggs out of the dozen so they would be easier for the kids to see when candled. Anyway...they hatched about 3 months ago and are very similar to each other. They may very well be a mix, but I can't see what kind they would be at all. They are a "dirty" white, with grey legs, dark green eyes, and faintly striped tails. Some have a couple black flecks. They have been added to our flock now. They are curious and like to fly up to my shoulder when I come in there. They are very timid as far as interacting with the flock though. I am going to try to upload some pics if I can figure out how.

No, I am from Minnesota. The eggs were hatched near Duluth, MN. No ideas? Are striped tail feathers a common thing? And the light color with the dark legs? They also have quite large eyes. Thinking they are all hens at this point. We have had several breeds over the years, but none with this color combination.

i had some that looks like her come out of a pen with 8 RIR hens and 2 Australorp hens and a White leghorn Roo. she has a smoky grey to her feathers. i will try to get a photo of her and put it here for you to look at.

In Europe there are Campines(Brekel) with this color.I am not familiar with the breed and can not say noting else.
