I've been reading through some of the sexing threads about brahmas and I'm starting to think one of my light brahmas is a roo. I got two light brahmas in my most recent order of chicks and they are very different from one another. At 3 weeks #1 has more feathers over all, longer tail feathers and likes to be held. #2 is slightly smaller and slimmer, less feathers on body, wings and tiny stubs on tail, and hates being picked up. Would these differences already show up this early?

I'll update with some pics as soon as I find my camera cord!

Updating with pics. I couldn't find my cord so I made due with the super junky camera on my ipod... hopefully you can see what I'm talking about.

Anyone? Really curious. I'm sure it'll be more clear as time goes on I'm just so surprised by how different these two are. We're technically not allowed to have roosters here either but I'm trying to think up a way it might work. Do they really make that much more noise that a barking dog or a hen?

Man, those are light brahmas? They look absolutely nothing like my light brahma chick, lol! Mine is/was yellow (its now mostly feathered out, except for the head). Sorry I can't give you any gender predictions!

Mine were yellow to begin with, too, now they are white with the Colombian pattern. Are you sure they're light brahmas? I do see the feathering on their legs. Anyone else have an idea?

Well, they're supposed to be light brahmas and they were the only brahmas in our order. But there may have been a mix up. They've been brown since the beginning

I wonder if they are dark brahmas? I don't know what dark brahma chicks look like, maybe Google it and see if your babe's look like them?
