Any thoughts/suggestions would be appreciated. My 3 week old chick was attacked by another adult hen this afternoon. He/she has a wound under her wing and possibly some air under the skin at the wound site. I cleaned her up and put her into a cage to rest, but I'm concerned that she is having difficulty breathing. She will occasionally pant and stretch her neck out in front of her. She also will not put much weight on the leg on the same side as the wound. There does not appear to be a fracture in the leg. Please help!!

i would keep her isolated...and keep checking up on her...i dont know how you could help the breathing...and keep a surplus of food and water around for her...hope she gets better!

if you have warm weather that might be why she's panting...and her leg might be sore so she doesn't want to put pressure on it...and make sure all her food and water are easy to get to,so she doesn't get too tired...

Thank you both. To clarify... The wound is not on the underside of the wing it is on her body. Her chest area. Could there be a puncture into her lung hence the air under the skin? She has access to both food and water easily.
