Not sure what happened.....she could have been the "one" who escaped my "dog crate brooder" a day ago but anyway, when I came home from work yesterday I noticed what looked like wet poop on her back under her wing. Upon closer inspection I saw that it was a brownish wet bare spot that the other peeps were pecking at --and she was too?? I haven't noticed any signs of pecking until now. Not sure if she was slightly injured in her escape and then the others found the spot and started working on it? Or did the others cause the spot?
Anyway, I removed her and put some antibiotic ointment on it last nite and this morning. Guess I should get some vitamin/electrolytes at the feed store? Must I keep her segregated until it heal completely? She's not very happy being by herself. I guess n a day or so I can put her back in and observe their behavior for signs of pecking etc. Any ideas? Also.....how old must they be before I can give them some treats? What would they enjoy most? Lettuce? cucumber peels?

I have a single orphan chick in the house. I found that a small stuff animal helps. It able cuddle under it, that should help until the chick has healed.
