Canker or Wet Fowl Pox?

I’m sorry that she is not getting better, but getting worse. I don’t know if the metronidazole would do better that the ronidazole. Did it ever develop a bad odor? Let us know if the vet can help.

Update: took her to the vet and spent $140 he said it could be viral or bacterial he doesn’t know but we will try to treat her with clavamox tablets. I’m also treated my whole flock with it as well. I have her separated in my garage. Hopefully it’s bacterial and we can get this under control.. the vet said he’s 40% hopefully the antibiotics will help.

It sure looks like canker though. Clavamox would not treat that I don’t think, since canker is a protozoa. Wet fowl pox, a virus, can look similar, but if you haven’t had any fowl pox in the last few months, it wouldn’t be that. Viruses will not respond to clavamox either. Please let us know if you see improvement, as I am not an expert on canker.

I asked about canker and he said he doesn’t know…. It’s kinda a guessing game at this point. I did treat with the all in one meds that treat canker for 5 days but no improvement so hopefully the clavamox does something
