Hi everyone, thanks in advance for help!
We have 6 chicks who have been together for 2 weeks now, in their brooder exclusively. They are 3 weeks old. 2 days ago, one had what looked like clear saliva hanging from her butt. She was also just standing around, not looking right, and her few tail feathers were moving up and down, as if she was trying to go. I quarantined her to give her some peace, have been giving her electrolytes by dropper, and Poly-Vi-Sol twice a day. Sometimes she perks up and looks better, but is still off, standing there most of the time with her tail moving. She did have some diarrhea in her box a couple times, no blood, etc.
I'm assuming/hoping it's not contagious, as the other 5 are still all acting like idiots. But she's definitely not feeling well. She's out with the others now, and they seem I phased by her, sometimes they snuggle with her to sleep. She's still spending most of her time heavy breathing with her tail feathers going up and down. I have not seen her eat or drink,
So we're continuing with the electrolytes in water by dropper.
Anyone have any thoughts?
