I have a ISA I got 4 mths ago from auction barn, put her in iso for 2 weeks, she was fine the whole time, laid eggs after 3 days, ate and drank good wandered around ect... 2 weeks after I put her with the others ( she came with 4 others BTW ) she stated coughing. I started her on electrolytes and antibiotics for 14 days, yes I put her back in iso, that did no good I always put Apple cider vinegar in all their water. she is still in iso and still coughing, I have made the iso pen bigger because she has been in it for so long, she still eats ect.. and she still gives me eggs that I throw away ( hate doing that ) I feel so sorry for her I want to put her back in gen. pop. but not sure. anyone have any ideals?

What antibiotics are you using and the dosage? Does she have any bubbles or foam in one eye, swollen eyelid or face, nasal drainage or a bad odor? Chickens can be exposed to respiratory diseases at auctions or sales being next to other birds, and with the stress they can show symptoms within a couple of days or more. She might have come from a place where they had carriers. It would be important to know which disease she has. Since they are were together some, the whole flock has probably already been exposed. So once she is better after being on antibiotics for the course, it is probably okay to put her back once she finishes antibiotics. Were the other birds she cam with from the same farm?
