I just got my first batch of chicks, and i'm worried about my Barred Rock baby. Omelet is shuddering and shaking, and when I hold her to feed her yogurt water with an eye dropper because she won't drink, she seems to weeze twice and then pause, almost like at the rate of a heart beat. After I started the yogurt she's gotten better, standing and eating at times, but I'm really worried that this is the calm before the storm. She has runny green and yellow poops, but no blood or fleas. I'm thinking a fungal sickness? None of my other chicks are sick. I've separated Omelet and she has her own space so she's not contagious or fighting for grub. Please help, I've really fallen in love with this chick the past few days taking care of her. Anything will help!

Im so sorry to hear about that, I honestly have no clue but i'll keep your chick in my prayers

Fowl cholera (chronic form) Not so common Swollen face, gunky eyes, rattling or difficulty breathing,
Infectious laryngotracheitis (ILT) Not so common Gasping, coughing up bloody mucous, dried blood around nostrils and lower beak
Avian influenza Rare (Deadly strains are absent from chickens in the United States) Droopy birds, rattling breathing sounds, diarrhea, sudden death

I don't know if this is helpful but I looked up chick illnesses and these are the ones that described some of her simptoms.

I also read that products with erythromycin, tetracycline, or tylosin are good first-line antibiotic choices that are available at many feed stores. They are used for chicks with various types of respiratory infections.
