Hello. It seems my chicks are eating the small pieces of pine bedding. I am in search of large flake or large pine shavings. Any advice or recomendations would be appericated. I am afraid of they eat the smaller piece they could get binded up. Thanks

Welcome to BYC!

Puppy pads or paper towels work well if you don't want to use bedding. I would keep them on one of those things for at least a week and then try the bedding again. Eventually they should stop eating the bedding and learn its not food.
They can get impacted crops from eating that so offering chick grit will help them digest it easier.

I don't think puppy pads would be a good idea because i think i remember some of my girls eating it.
I'm not too sure about paper towels though, I wouldn't really want to risk it.

I tried paper towels and yes they tried eating it. I put down shelf liner until tomorrow when i can get to the feed store and get large flake bedding
