Three week old from Murry McMurry. Two identical red chicks in shipment. Part of 15 rainbow layers. They were a little more cinnamon upon arrival. I am guessing EE even though yellow legs? Also they were smallest upon arrival and much smaller now. The Brown Leghorns and SS Hamburgs have really out grown them.

The twin did have two tiny darker feathers growing off the side of her head I thought might be the start of muffs. But someone must have pecked them off last night. I went through all the McMurry YouTube videos and am at a loss now. They did not seem to fit any description or color. Only description that fit was white laced red Cornish which stated very small chicks that grow slowly. So maybe they had some Cornish hens in their EE breeder pen for variety?

ees that have yellow legs are way down in generations then because ees came from americunas and stuff i don't know how to spell it but thats where they cam from so it would be down in generations .. but as for this chick no clue
Yes they usually are down in generations, but they are still EEs. EEs are part ameraucana and they can have green or yellow legs . Purebred ameraucanas have slate colored legs. I have gotten chicks from hatcheries and from the feed store that have yellow legs. And it seems like I see more and more chicks with yellow legs at the feed to the point were there are only a few with green legs. But since EEs are "mutts" they don't really have any standard that they have to meet other than the fact that they are supposed to resemble ameraucanas.

the ones i had were pretty all beards and all were part ameracanas his mother was a pure bred ameracana and father i forget .. my ee hen part ameracana
and they all had like blue slate legs but my hen .. they all passed away though well one was killed the other one broken her neck then the male died of a sickness or just from the cold he died in winter
