3 weeks ago my broody hen hatched out babies and I am getting antsy to figure out who is who. We can only keep (up to) 4 and I would like to rehome the ones we don't keep together. We can't keep any roosters so I will be sad if I make my decision and one turns out to be a rooster.
First up are the chicks I know the genders of
Cuckoo maran hen, buff orpington rooster cross...boy has white, girl does not
Next, my one and only purebred buff orpington chick...the only chick other than the obvious maran mix that I feel is a boy.
Chicks 4 and 5, cochin hen, buff orpington rooster, my daughter is in love with and has already named the darker of the two so my fingers are really crossed for that one
Last are my easter egger chicks (well easter egger mom, orpington dad like the rest). 1 has single comb, no cheeks, 1 has single comb and cheeks and one has a pea comb and cheeks
