All of you wonderful BYCers...please tell me...is this a he, or a she...or too soon to tell? This is my Polish chick, 3 weeks old. The chick is full of pin feathers on the neck and head (and chest), but is pretty much fully feathered on the wings and back.

This is my sweetest chick. It jumps on my arm, or head every time I walk in the room, loves being pet, and looks side to side when i talk. I just love this bird...but alas...no roos in our hood...so I am trying not to become too attached.

I thought feather sexing was only reliable in day olds. I got this Polish at about a week old. It has the longest feathers on a 3 week old I've seen, but I also thought that Polish were fast featherers in both males and females. I could be totally wrong though. I have a picture of its wing at 1 week, but I am not trained to spot feather charateristics:

From the way the feathers on the head look, I am leaning on roo. My girls who are just a little older have a much fuller crest from side to side than the boys do.
