.Hello everyone I'm so glad I found this website! I have 3 3week old silkies (white lavender tipped bantams). They were fed medicated chick feed from day one, and have been very healthy showing no signs of illness or anything that would cause us any concern. I have noticed the smallest one of the group has been having a problem with her eye.She is showing no signs or symptems of anything else, she is eating normally, playing, sleeping and drinking with no problems. Shes a little smaller then the other two (but not by much) and has been since day one.She walks normally, has no discharge, no sneezing, coughing or any other unusual symptoms (such as neck stiffness or twisting etc). The only problem she is displaying is one of her eyes is a deep blue color with what looks like a small white scab on the outer edge at the top. (I thought she may have a bit of something in her eye at first) I have been gently cleaning it with clean cool boiled water, and keeping a close eye on her. I'm not quite sure what to do, she has been this way for about 3 days, yet it doesn't seem to be bothering her in anyway.Im wondering if perhaps she was just pecked by her more curious and rowdy siblings? Any advice at all would be welcome as we have never encountered this with any of our other chickens. Sorry about the pic she wasn't being very cooperative. I'll try to get a better image with my other camera.
