3 week olds can anybody tell yet boy/girl

looks like the way the feathers are coming in is slowly and is slow to get feathers on his shoulders, I can't tell in the picture but I'd guess he doesn't have much of tail feathers coming in? It also seems to have a good sized comb for 3 weeks but by siz weeks is should be pink, so watch it.

RIR #2

This one is a little more difficult to tell. The feathering looks similar to the first in the way it is growing in and the legs look very thick. I can't really see the comb in this pic but it kind of looks large-ish.

I could be wrong though, the pics of those two are kind of difficult to tell since one is being held and the other is fuzzy and the chick is turned away.

Yep that's Mr Nosybody, Boomhauer the Bassett. Has to be in the middle of everything.

I'll get better picks next week and we'll try again. You're right Corey the one RIR does have thick legs.

I think your RIR are girls - they look like my girls when they were 3 weeks old - 4 weeks old:

What appears to be spots on them is the down feathers being replaced by the red-brown juvenile/adult feathers. These 3 all laid eggs. Roxy had a big comb for a hen.

All your girls are very pretty.
