I know they are too young to tell, but I thought it would be fun to start guessing now!
I ordered 5 females from Chickens for backyards. They also sent 2 free gifts. They are all 3 weeks old. I also hatched 2 eggs and they are 2 weeks old. It’s hard to take pics of these fast little critters! #8 and 9 have eggshells being sent off for DNA testing. All roos will be caponized at 6 weeks of age so they can live very long and happy lives with my flock in Dinosaur Village.
#1 Delaware (looks roo to me)
#2 Barred Cochin (sweetest bird I’ve ever met)
#3 Buckeye (Feathers looked like female at 1-3 days old)
#4 Buckeye (Feathers looked male at 1-3 days)
#5 Silver Laced Cochin
#6 Buff Brahma (Feathers looked female at 1-3 days)
#7 Buff Brahma (Feathers looked male days 1-3)
#8 Velvet, 2 weeks old, mama is a CA white, dad is a mixed breed
#9 Teeny Houdini, 2 weeks old, mama is a Houdan, dad is a mixed breed
