Here's my situation. I have a mixed brooder of ages due to how my local farm store brought in breeds I wanted
The youngest two are 3 weeks old. I would like to move them to a brooder inside the run during the day (no heat obviously). But we have temps still dipping into the 50s/low 60's for part of the day. My concern is there isn't enough of them to huddle together for warmth if needed.
Do I need to just hang on and wait until next week when they're 4weeks old and the temps are a little higher?
I've been very nonconservative with my chicks in general, moving my first batch to the coop at 5 weeks when it was still dipping into the 40's. But it's a big leap from 3 to 5 weeks...
